Esperanza

Overview

Close to Existing Infrastructure

Esperanza is located 135km north of the city of San Juan, San Juan Province, northwestern Argentina. The project has year-round road access and is within 35km of power lines.  At an elevation between 3,000m and 3,500m, the project is not in the high Andes.

San Juan Province is host to large gold mines and world class copper deposits including the Veladero Gold Mine (Barrick/SD Gold) and the Gualcamayo Gold Mine (recently sold by Yamana Gold (TSE: YRI) to Mineros S.A. (April 2019) for $85M).

Near Surface Copper-Gold Porphyry System

A copper-gold porphyry system was discovered by drilling in 2006-2007 following mapping of alteration and extensive outcropping of mineralization at surface. A pyrite halo extending over 1,400m x 850m at surface indicates the potential for a large, near surface porphyry copper-gold deposit.

Historical Mineralization Open at Depth and in All Directions

Significant near surface copper-gold porphyry mineralization was intersected in seven historical drill holes (2,011m) in 2006-2007. Most holes terminated in mineralization (due to limited drill capabilities) and grade increases with depth in several holes. The porphyry system is open at depth and untested in all directions.
